What we collect, and what we do with it.

Seamark is a small business. This page says, in plain English, what information this website handles and why. It is short because we don't collect much.

The audit request form

When you ask for a free audit you give us your business name, city, website address, email address and anything you choose to write in the notes box. We use that to do the audit and to send you the report, and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or share it.

The form is delivered to us by Formspree, which stores submissions on our behalf. If you would like your request deleted, email us and we'll remove it from Formspree and our own records.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see how many people visit, which pages they read and whether they request an audit. Google Analytics sets cookies and records things like your approximate location, device and browser. We don't use its advertising features. Google's own description of how it handles this data is at policies.google.com.

If you'd rather not be counted, a browser extension such as uBlock Origin or Google's opt-out add-on will block it, and the site works exactly the same without it.

Your city on the home page

The example business on the home page shows a city near you. That comes from our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which estimates a location from your internet address as the page is served. We use it only to fill in that example, on that request. It is not stored, not attached to anything about you, and not passed to anyone.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and reliability, for a limited period.

What we don't do

Clients

If you become a client we'll hold the information needed to build and run your website and listings (logins we set up on your behalf, your business details, invoices). That is covered by our agreement with you, and everything we register for you is registered in your name and belongs to you.

Questions or requests

Email [email protected]. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will.

If we change this page in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top.
